 Grants are not available for attendance at courses at foreign institutions located in Italy or abroad, private universities, research institutes, or laboratories that are not recognised by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR).

 Grants cannot be coupled with any other grants offered by the Italian State or by any other entities under its control, including scholarships offered by local educational authorities and NGOs.


The award is compatible with other European programmes like Erasmus and Erasmus+ as well as other international organisations' scholarships, however it does not cover time spent studying abroad.


 Students who desire to study in Europe but cannot afford to do so are strongly encouraged to submit an application for the Italy Scholarship 2023.


To be considered for the Veneto Region scholarship, applicants must first have been accepted into one of the programmes offered at the University of Padua.

 Additionally, they had to be able to secure an Italian visa, which is a crucial condition for international applicants. 


The institution of Bologna offers both bachelor's scholarships and master's scholarships to deserving international students so they can enrol in First-, Second-, or Single-cycle degree programmes at the institution and pay no tuition while studying in Italy.

 Depending on the start date of the grant and the number of months specified on the Dichiarazione di assegnazione di borsa di studio (Awarding Letter), the recipient of an MAECI scholarship will receive EUR900 per month, paid quarterly into a personal current account opened in his or her name with an Italian bank. 


The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) is awarding grants to foreign nationals who are not residents in Italy and to Italian citizens who are abroad (IRE)* for the academic year 2023–2024 in accordance with Law 288/55 and its subsequent changes and additions.


 The goals of these funds are to enhance the Italian language and culture, encourage international cooperation in science, technology, and culture, and assist Italy's global economic system.
